FAQ's

Can I Ride the Horses?
expand_more

At this time, our programs are specifically focused on working with horses from the ground. While we don’t offer traditional mounted riding opportunities, we are happy to refer you to a local program that does, should this be of interest to you.

Who Can Participate?
expand_more

At H.O.P.E. in MA, LLC we feel that everyone can benefit from a visit to the barn. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. Our programs are appropriate for ages 8 and up.

Why Horses?
expand_more

Because their limbic system is larger than a human’s, horses are more sensitive to emotional energy and respond to what we are putting out, whether we are aware of it or not. This, in turn, makes them excellent therapy animals. Though their large statue may be slightly intimidating at first, we guarantee that after your first few sessions at H.O.P.E., you will find a sense of belonging with our herd.

What Should I Wear to the Barn?
expand_more

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting a little horse hair and dirt on! Closed toed shoes with a good sole are required, preferably boots. A riding helmet is not necessary, as our sessions are focused on working with horses from the ground.
